About HYPE

HYPE sports innovation is a foundation with a goal, to build and develop a network like an ecosystem that includes retail brands, athletic clubs, federations, and academia together with startups across all sectors in this highly diverse field of sports.

I've designed for HYPE a variety of printed and online graphic products. Including company reports, business cards, documents for investors, booths, stage backdrops, and rollup for events, Online marketing banners, Landing, and web pages.

HYPE BRAND ELEMENTS

The challenges

 

When we first met, HYPE didn't have distinct design guidelines. They worked with multiple designers at the same time and each graphic output seemed for a different company. So for my work, I created unofficial guidelines. I repeat the same fonts, the same basic colors, and the same image style for all of the graphic products.

Oswald  /  Used for headlines, taglines, and buttons. Utilized for highlight content, usually in all caps. Bold, strong, and loud to create certainty.

Roboto  /  Used for body copy. Easy to read sans-serif font for clean lines. For all the really important information.

PRIMARY COLORS

Based on HYPE's former graphic materials and their logo I decided to choose the 3 colors below. I usually used them as a project foundation colors and incorporated one new color to set the project tone.

WEB PAGES

As part of my work with HYPE, I've costume designed and built with WordPress leading pages and web pages for all sorts of purposes, programs, fund resing, magazine release, etc. Pages with a strong call to action > registering / donating / buying.

 

I presented below an example. Accelerators programs that collaborate between new startups and top universities and sports clubs all across the world. The page invites the users to register for the program.

start with a  hero image and follow with all the program's information I have designed over 10 accelerators pages, Including FC Köln, The University of Queensland, the Swedish Olympic Academy, and more. Each one had a Customized Background image and content.

SCHEDULE

EVENTS

HYPE participated in big events and summits all over the world.
For those events, I designed large dimension prints like booths, backdrops, and roll-ups as well as flyers, cards, and brochures.

 

Below you can see an example of a summit that took place in Russia during the 2018 FIFA world cup. I combined the colors of HYPEs with the colors of the world cup identity of that year and present a bold noticeable look.

I chose diagonal lines that I used in HYPE products before representing moving forward and colored them with the Russian + HYPE colors.

They got so many compliments and we used this design as a template for their other events.
